Boston, MA, USA, April 11, 2024 – Cohesive has been named as the winner of the 2024 IBM Partner Plus Award in the Sustainability category for North America.
The award was secured for Cohesive’s successful work with Con Edison, which supplies electric, gas and steam services to 10 million people across New York City and Westchester County.
Cohesive supported the energy giant’s upgrade to the IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS), providing expertise and input across integration/configuration, automated testing, change management and training and project management.
The MAS upgrade is supporting effective asset management at Con Edison and helping to increase the effectiveness of its predictive maintenance, analytics, and modeling. This constitutes a critical step in Con Edison’s efforts to provide 100 percent clean energy by 2040.
Rachita Bhatia, Director, Services, Cohesive Americas, said she was proud to have made a contribution to Con Edison turning its sustainability ambition into action. “There were several challenges faced during the implementation due to newer technology, timeline constraints and multiple competing initiatives, but the team overcame these challenges by building an incredibly collaborative network between Con Edison, Cohesive and IBM.”
“The project went live in September 2024, was extremely well received by end users, and we continue to support Con Edison in their efforts towards sustainability, including realizing their goal to provide 100% clean energy by 2040,” added Bhatia.
The IBM Partner Plus Awards celebrate business partners in the IBM Ecosystem who advance businesses, reshape industries, and create positive impact through partnership.
Entries were anonymized and judged on Expertise, Partnership, Impact, and Innovation. Award winners were selected from hundreds of submissions across six categories.
As a winner in North America, Cohesive has also been named a finalist for the global awards, winners of which will be announced at IBM Partner Plus Day during Think 2024, on May 20, 2024.
